Hoy No Circula: Restrictions for Green Vehicles

The Hoy No Circula program will restrict the circulation of vehicles in 18 municipalities in the metropolitan area of the State of Mexico and 16 boroughs of Mexico City on Thursday, February 6. Vehicles with green stickers and license plates ending in 1 and 2, bearing hologram 1 or 2, must remain at home.

There will not be a double implementation of Hoy No Circula this Thursday, as there are no significant problems with ozone particles, and the Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis has not issued an alert for poor air quality nor activated an environmental contingency. This program is applied in case of environmental contingency to reduce pollution.

Vehicles that may circulate on Thursday, February 6, include electric and hybrid cars, those with ecological plates or exempt hologram types, as well as those carrying hologram '00' or '0'. In addition, exempt from restrictions are personal vehicles of healthcare personnel, school and funeral transport, cars for people with disabilities, public service vehicles, motorcycles with Tourist Pass, and vehicles with pink, blue, yellow, and red stickers.
